2nd Recipe to Tumbl

This recipe was given to me from a former co-worker whose wife made it for a holiday party we had at work. It’s simple, easy to make and tastes great! Great to use in a jam when you have unexpected guests and need something simple to whip up.

Servings:

About 12, use mix servings

Cooking Time:

Use mix instructions

Ingredients:

  • 1 box (18 1/4-ounce) of vanilla cake mix w/ pudding
  • 1 can of crushed pineapples
  • Sliced almonds
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk

Instructions:

  1. Mix the cake mix according to directions, but using the pineapple juice from the can of pineapples in place of the water in the cake mix.
  2. Add the can of crushed pineapples and mix again.
  3. Pour into a greased sheet cake pan and bake according to the directions on the box for the mix
  4. Remove from oven and poke holes all over the top using a small straw.
  5. Spread the sliced almonds across the top.
  6. Pour the can of condensed milk overtop of the cake.
  7. Bake for an additional 5 minutes and then remove.
  8. Allow it to cool and then refrigerate. Serve chilled.

You’re probably thinking to yourself, “there’s nothing to that!” I was amazed too when I found out how easy it was. Give it up to all the mom’s out there who come up with ideas such as this!
